I have a 01 is300 with 97000 miles on it. I was wondering what do i need for 90000 mile tune up? the previous owner said that he changed the timing belt, but i dont trust his word. How do you tell when your timing chain is needs replacing?

I always used the rule.. if your not sure on the tune up then start new and replace all the Engine, Trans, Rear Diff ext. It will give you a good feeling knowing that you changed everything out....in checking the timing belt I think you can take off the cover and check to see if the belt has any wear Someone chim in if i'm wrong!!

Check the color of the oil on the dip stick for fluids. Tanny should be cherry red.

As for the timing belt us a allen key and pop off the timing belt cover, its like 5 hex bolts. There should be absolutly NO cracks or shinyness to it. If its liek that then it was changed.
