Hello all, new to the board in writing but read for a long time before purchasing my IS. All i can say is that I went to DMV yesterday to get my car inspected, cause i bought it in manhattan but live in N.J., but thats besides the point. I pull up there, and everyone one of them are looking at the car and are in awe as if it were a spaceship. I couldnt believe it. Then the old man tells me to put on my lights. He thought my fogs were illegal at first and same with my taillights. The younger people working there kept having to tell him that thats how the car is made. ITs all factory BP. I guess this car is a hot commodity since each person asked me to sit in it, and a million questions.I must say it is pretty cool having something so new and unique, and this was just the tip of the iceberg. Hopefully all the hype stays up, cause the car is not a let down, just thought you all would like to hear another positive IS encounter, and maybe comment if you had any problems with some of features with the law or DMV thinking they were illegal aftermarket parts.

I had to get it inspected because, I bought the car in a different state than where it is registered. I had temporary NY plates on the car, and they had to fedex me NJ plates. If i bought in NJ the dealer would throw New Car dealer sticker on.

Crontab, I got the car in Manhattan cause my ex girls uncle is g.m. there. I was able to get a little better deal, mainly on the aftermarket parts,ie lowjack,carbon fiber and spoiler. It was all hassle and heckle free compared to the scumy NJ dealers.
