Honestly? I'd spend a little more and get a Canon Powershot...I bought one in June...and it's awesome. They are only $249 now and LOTS of capabilities...

http://www.bestbuy.com/Detail.asp?m=1229&e=11102076

Details:

2.0-megapixel CCD for high-resolution images
3x optical/2.5x digital zoom
1.5" color TFT-LCD monitor and real-image optical zoom viewfinder
Multiple shooting modes: auto, program, manual, stitch assist, movie, photo effect (vivid color, neutral color, low sharpening, sepia, black-and-white), macro, snap, landscape and continuous (approx. 2.5 fps)
JPEG digital still and AVI movie recording formats
Through-the-lens (TTL), 3-point artificial intelligence autofocus
Program auto exposure or manual exposure control
TTL auto white balance, or preset to 5 different settings
Built-in flash with red-eye reduction
Store images on CompactFlash memory media (8MB card included)
Direct print capability with Canon CP-10 and CP-100 photo printers
USB interface
I especially like the fact that I can make movies with sound. :D

ur ------------> :crazy:

For one 2-megapixel with a 3x optical res, sucks...and what type of movies are your really going to record from a digital camera...and I hope when you are making your movies, your camera is not recording at: (approx. 2.5 fps), which is slower than animation @ 15fps...

It might not be a beefy camera, but I like it for the price. It takes damn good pictures.

Oh, and if you want to see the videos it takes...check this out:

You pay for what you get, and that is a 2 megapixel camera, so if you want make prints of your pics, you will have some lovley wallet size.
