Hello all! I had a few questions about what oil to use when going F/I. Should you use a different weight oil, like 10-w30 instead of 5-w30 or does it matter?

Also, would it matter that I live in New Orleans, where 3/4 or the year, the temps range from 75-110 degrees? Because of this, would one weight oil be better than the other? Thanks for any info!

p.s.-I'm using Mobile 1 5-w30 right now, I think I'm about to switch to RP or something higher end........ :) Any suggestions or comments? Everybody seems to think Amsoil, RP, and Red Line are the best.

for that temp on a FI'd car, I'd use 10w

0-100
10w in the summer.
5w in the winter.

It's almost too easy...

I actually used crisco one winter.
When I opened up my oil filler cap, I was able to deep fry twinkies and cupcakes and the such.
