I was offered by Lexus to design an magazine ad for the IS300. I want to use some shots of the car in its natural habitat(sp?), ie in the mountians or woods on a curve or hill. If some people could help with some High Res pics I would be very greatful. Please let me know.

Are you kidding me? They have an ad agency that does that for them, and at the very least would have provided you with the photos...
If it's for a dealership, I'm sure they have access to stock photos of the IS for their ads... They probably could get them for ya.

Thank you for your insight, but the design frim that I work for does business for Lexus and other car companies as well. Our firm got the order, and my boss, knowing that I had an IS300 assigned it to me. And yes some pics were supplied, But I thought that it might be cool to use someones car off of this board who might have some pics of their own.

Do you do more brand advertising, or old-school Direct Repsonse ads.... internally at my company we've been discussing the two, both pros and cons...

I thought Advertising One (or something to that effect) out of El Segundo, CA was the exclusive ad firm for Lexus...

Congrats on the chance to create something great for Lexus.... is it for the current model year or for the upcoming Sportcross or IS-M?

This frim incorporates both, they are huge with two different design staffs, but we lean more towards large clients on a more personal level. I have only been working for them for only a couple of months now, so I was pretty amazed to get the chance at this. I will ask more tomorrow about how we aquired the account.
