When I go home from my bank I pass by one of the local Lexus dealers just to torture myself till I get My IS, and to my surprise they had an IS hooked up with a body kit, Altezza style grill (painted white), and a wing. I never thought the dealers would be selling them like that. Has anyone else seen this at their local dealers??? I see this at Toyota w/ TRD products, but Lexus?? Anyhow I thinks it's cool their doing that.

I asked about the TRD/Kazuma SC for the IS300 while test driving. The sales person said that once TRD has the parts available they would build one up with everything for the show room.

That was about 2 weeks ago.

I saw it at County Line Lexus. It's white and sitting in front of the building next to about 3 or 4 other Is's. I will try to post a pic but can't guarentee I can do it anytime soon. I wonder if it's just that one or if they have others.

Reason why dealers are selling IS300's with body kits and extra accessories is because they can mark up the extra parts at a price only the stupid people would be willing to pay for the car. I saw a fixed up IS300, mind you it didn't look too good in my opinion, for $39,899. Why? Tint job was $400 they charged, got mine for less than half that price plus it looked better. #2: regular looking spoiler (they call it OEM spoiler, but in fact it really isn't from the factory): price= $795. Got mine for $425 custom fit spoiler. #3: Stereo upgrade (8" bazooka sub= price was $1475. Sounded like crap, although alittle better than the stock radio. Got mine with 2 tens JL W6s and 2 MTX digital Thunder 303T amps for only $300. #4: gotta love this one. 17" Chromed Enkei wheels at the dealership. Guess how much?? EXTRA WHOPPING $2895. Plus the damn wheels didn't look half as good as the existing 17" Lexus offers. The chromes actually made the car look worse and tacky. So why all of this cosmetic work = finding extra ways to make more dough than what is already being made on these cars. Thus, for any of you out there that are planning to purchase and IS300 soon, get that $2500 to $3000 off, cause each dealer is making AT LEAST a whopping $6000 on these cars. That's how I got my deal, and what a deal I got. Hope this helps. My advice, never buy stuff from dealership factory, explore your options and you'll see a big difference not only in price but also in quality.

I talked to my dealer last weekend when I was up there for the 5000 mile service, and the parts department said that they do have all the suspension and exhaust and grill stuff from TRD, which they have put on some of the showroom model already. I ask them how much they are and they said they don't know. The problem they are having is that they have the parts but not the new cost for these parts, so before TRD give them a sure price on these parts, they aren't selling any.
I am waiting for them to have the exhaust on sale because I want to replace my. I just cannot stand that little dent on my exhaust tip, it just kills me.
I am also looking for a spoiler right now, so if anyone that knows any good place in the So. Cal, preferably Orange County, Please let me know.

When I bought my IS at Longo in July, they had a yellow one fixed up with the TRD suspension kit, exhaust, and TRD sports grill, and some nasty 18' rims. The suspension was $1800, exhaust was $800, and grill was $200, which was the same as the prices in the Hyper Rev and TRD catalog from Japan. But thats still rip off because the suggested retail from all the companies is always higher than the store prices. At autobacs in Japan the TRD suspension kit is $1300 so I am sure we'll be able to get cheaper soon here after everyone starts stocking the IS parts.

The funny thing is you get two different prices at Longo, depending on which department you deal with. If you go down to the parts department, you will find that the grill is selling for $185. But if you look at that yellow TRD IS300, you will see they charged $225 for the grill. The other thing is that TRD parts are kind of hard to get, and the only authorized dealers I know are RMM and Lexus/Toyota dealers. If you want TRD, expect to pay premium.

that's one thing you never do at a dealer..buy aftermarket parts....they rape you on those, becuase they think that extra 200-300 they tack on the price becomes untoiceable when you add on a 30k purchase.

at the honda dealer here, they charged 299 for the aluminum shift knob, 199 for the pedals and too much for the mats...that's Fu$kin crazy.

When I do buy parts for the car I'll be buying them through a wholesaler, I always get great prices from him. One time I needed a new sunroof for my old Integra (R.I.P) the insurance people said $500 bucks I got it from the wholesale guy for $300. So thats my suggestion, but asfar as purchasing the car hooked up already I feel only someone with alot of money to waste or somebody that does not know how to hook up a ride would buy it from the dealer. NOT ME thats for damn sure!!

* Tim....I bought my car in July from Longo also, and the car you're referring to (the yellow one) was actually Mr. Penske's car.

Really? Roger Penske or his son? I almost bought that car but decided against it because of the color. Those 18" rims were first installed on my car, then it was put on a Red one, and I guess when they sold that red one the owner also don't want it and then they put it on the yellow TRD IS.
