I know there have already been some threads on this, but two things the guy who helped me today (for my 40K service) said were just plain wrong and retarded.

First:

"Oh yeah, they really detuned the IS-F. That engine was putting out 600 hp before they limited it."

Talking about the new GS460:

"Man, I was taking that car around corners that a Porsche 911 would lose traction on. I was doing 120 around this one corner and thought I was going to run into a wall, but the traction control saved me."

Both of those claims are fucking stupid, but I'd like to hear if anyone has something to top them, so let's hear it.

I was told by a Toyota dealer that the IS350 was Lexus's version of the Scion tC...I walked away laughing

oh yeah, my girl just bought a 2008 Ford Escape, but she was looking at the Mazda CX-7 at first...the dealer (Mazda) told her that Volkswagen (her Bug she traded in) and Mazda were all the the same company, along with Toyota, Mitsubishi, Buick, GMC, and Saturn...
