[Leader]

I'm taking delivery of my new Silver IS any day now and I'd like to shut OFF the Daytime Running Lights...strictly a personal preference.
Anyone know how to do it?
In my '98 New Beetle, it was as simple as pulling a relay.
IMHO it should be an owner-selectable option anyway.

Lexus is currently working on a TSIB to disable the DRLs on all Lexus models. Must go through all the proper channels first, technical, legal, japan, etc...

Wait about four months longer.

Hey Leader, I noticed you live in Northridge. Well so do I! If you see a white IS300 with tinted windows and a rear spoiler, Honk and wave. Maybe we can swap IS stories. What Dealer are you buying from?

I too was also interested in removing the DRL's. I looked in the owner's manual, at the fuse box section, but really not sure on which one to pull out. I'm not sure if pulling it out is going to shut something else off also! For now I'm content, knowing that the DRL's are a safety feature, I guess I'll just leave them be! *But I would be interested to know if anyone has removed them.*

Yeh if you take out teh DRL fuses it'll disable the high beams

Checked virtually every dealer within driving distance...wound up at Keyes Lexus in Van Nuys (paid sticker).
Ordered a Silver w/black leather, they originally quoted me a five-week wait, which I was okay with.
Next day they called to tell me my car would be in next week...total wait = nine days!!!
Surprised? Yes. Happy? Oh yes!

I leased mine from Keyes Lexus. I also work their. Of course I got the killer deal, $500 over invoice.
