My buddy bought some Nismo bucket seats online for his project Porsche 944 V8 (LT1). The bucket seats have just four holes in the bottom with 4 bolts. It didn't come with any brackets. We scratched our heads the other day trying to figure out how, if possible, to use his old seat brackets/sliders out of the Porsche and we ended up giving up on the ideas we were having (drilling new holes, cutting, welding, etc).

Anyone have any thoughts around getting brackets/sliders made or if there are any companies he should be calling that might have something that will work? Prices? Etc. WTF. Glad I never put seats into my Lexus...seems like a PITA.

Thanks.

First of all I wonder what would provoke someone to put nissan seats in a porsche...

Bottom mount seats tend to be more of a hassle to fab up to rails than side mounts, because the L bracks for sidemounts are easy to customize. I'd say welding up small brackets shouldn't be a big deal, but if you're not into that idea then I'd say grab some Sparco baseplates and rails and mount it up.
