hey,

i tried to search but i coudnt find any thread about the other blubs on our IS. Do u guys know if the 9006 blubs would be ok in our IS, instead of 9005? thx

i dont think they will not fit in the socket. you have to grind one of the nipples on the socket of the bulb. I think you have to do this for either 9005-9006 or a 9006-9005 swap.

just curious why not stick with 9005 is there an advantage to 9006

oh no, a friend of my have a extra pair PIAA 9006 blubs. so i was just wondering if it will fit in my IS.

From what I understand they will work fine...PIAA bulbs are sold 9005/9006... they will fit no problem.

The PIAA bulbs that I bought for my DRL's were for 9006/9005/HB4/HB3/H13. Just make sure you use the orange gaskets and not the black ones or else they wont fit in the sockets.

9005 and 9006 share the same base. No grinding.

9005 is designed as a high beam. 9006 is designed as a low beam.
