Just wondering since they are around the same price range

i dotn' know about the a4 but it should beat up a 323 and maybe a 325(manual)
Actually the IS300 does pretty well. Similarly optioned, the IS is a little cheaper. With the automatic, the IS300 is probably the fastest of the three. The A4 is the most elegant and comfortable, the BMW is pretty well rounded. Can't go horribly wrong by choosing either one. But... if you choose a 5-speed, then the 325i gets a little more interesting. If you don't mind sitting on cloth or "leatherette", the A4 1.8t Quattro and an APR chip is REALLY REALLY fun and will run a little under 30K.
hmmm.. since IS300 is around the same level as 325 & A4, why do people bother comparing it to M3, S4 or Corvette?

those cars are obviously more beefed up than IS300 and ofcourse, they will kick is300 butt. I think comparing to A4 or Bmw325 is more appropriate.
Ditto.

oh yeah... mrclam, are you on the ha.net by the same name? Just wondering.
I guess this settles all the flames that have been going on in the past few weeks.. so lets hold hands and dance around the bon fire.

oh wait, but that doesn't settle the TL controversy
DJ, yes i am, i sticka round the kill stories forum, nothing else really interests me seeing that i dont' have a honda-acura =) as before, the TL is a nice car and so it the IS300, if you ask me, its personal preference

and as smra said, the m3 doesn't nothing for her but hte m3 does everything for me
so yeah...personal preferecne

I saw a blue M3 at school today.. its own by a girl. The car was quite nice, but the color wasn't so impressive. It must be a very old m3 because from what I recall, the newer Bmws have really nice blue color, not ugly like that one.
the m3 came in two shades of blue, estoril and avus. estoril is the newer blue, its like a light blue and avus is a darker blue. estoril came on m3s from 96on and avus was only available in 95. there was this girl at my school last year with a balck m3 and all she knew how to do was shift at 2k. last week i ran into her again and i told her(i was sitting next to her) to stay in first and just punch it. she nearly ran into a wall
hehe :p

Wow, I didn't know that Bimmmers came in Estrogen Blue or Anus Blue. They sound very purty to me. Clam, your knowledge about BMW's is wacked - I think you need a girlfriend dude. What about the chick with the M3?
ha ha....i'm trying to stay away from relatioships right now, i'm trying to keep taht idealism of finding my wife sometime....soon hopefully
he he

but yeah, i'm a car freak, especially with bimmers

clam!!!! wife?!?!??!?! you are only 17 come on!!! you are not suppose to be thinking about wife yet!! We still need to do some major pimpin'
ha ha =) i'm eager to grow up i guess. most people my age arond here are intent to rely on their parents and have fun...well, i can't stand being dependent on my parents. i want to grow up and do my own thing :p hehe
Clam,

I don't think anyone questions you wanting to do "your own thing".. they're merely suggesting that you "do your own thing" with a different girl every night

Oh, and at the risk of being off topic.. let me just say that I like the A4 for two reasons.. factory turbo engine and quattro.. from what I hear, the dealership is cool with you having a chip too.. and since the boost is controlled via ECU, with a chip comes some pretty damn good increases in hp and torque.. but a d*ck at work has one and in order to avoid the possibility of him becoming my "Audi Buddy", I never really thought about getting one..
