Hey guys,
Well, its that time for coilovers. I have springs right now, but want something a little better. I dont want any that are straight race, just for my pleasure. Looked at Tein's because of the EDFC. But also Zeal's. What do you guys suggest?

Thanks,
Chad

Zeal is truly the way to go, but guess what they are now more uniformed in their price structure. no more of that 16xx price. Retail is 2112 on them, don't expect to see them under 1850 for a longggg time.

I have the Tein Flex, and I'm happy with them.. One thing I will say is that they are a [email protected]*ch to tune. Another thing is the EDFC may be better for you when you are racing, because you can change the setting at the touch of a button.

Zeal cannot be compared to the normal Tein. The Zeals are stiff and not meant to be comfortable.
Dude, that is simply a false statement. I have the Zeals on my car and IMO the ride is not harsh at all. In fact, I would say they are just a hair stiffer than stock on the #2 damper setting. The ride quality is superb and the handling is flat out amazing. If you put the Tein and Zeals side by side you will see the difference in quality. I was a bit hesitant to get coilovers because I was worried about a rough ride. Now, I could not be happier that I chose to go with coilovers and because I chose a top notch coilover like Zeal. There are areas you can go cheap on, but suspension is not an area that I would recommend doing that. Chad, try El Chino. He will give you a great price. ;)

I have the tein w/edfc.. I can't really compare them to the Zeal's since I haven't installed them on my car or been in an IS with them, but... I really like the teins. They are a little bit stiffer than the stock suspension was on the softest setting and its liking riding on steels bars when on the hardest setting. I like the ability to change the stiffness while on the roll and without having to muck around with any tools.

Right now the best deal you can get are on JIC Products...I have a set of FLT-A2's for sale in the member/sale forum. Tein's aren't even close to the quality of these. JIC's are flirting w/ if not beating the quality of HKS. Zeal is above and beyond all of these.

Not to take sides here, but he did talk to me for close to two hours about them, we decided Zeal was what is best for what he is looking for.

I would recommand JIC FLTA2s.... I had it for about a week and I love them..... I thought Zeal was little too much money, so I settled on FLT-A2s..... and those are awesome.........

Hope this helps you out...
