Hi guys, here is one concept for the CDD Delete...(maybe I should call it CD^3 haha ) to remove the slow valve damping device in the hydraulic line between the master and the slave cylinder.

This will be an anodized piece, I am still working out the details on the flare machining internal to the block as well as if the logo will be post machined after anodizing. FEEDBACK WELCOME.

Keep in mind the design goals:
-fits stock size with no line mods
-Grip-able for tightening
-lightweight so no support bracket needed
-great looking of course.
-affordable, looking at $30-$40 hopefully.

Edit: product is now released and preorder is just $25. go to ..FIGS HOOD SUPPORT SYSTEMS.. IS300 IS350 IS-F IS250 GS300 LS430 LS400 HOOD STRUTS PROPS OEM REPLACEMENT for details.
Install guide added here 17MB

Maybe you can round off the cylinder shape more, so it looks more like OEM? I would like the feature where this device can pass warranty inspection.

That's a FANCY coupler! :) Great idea to dress up the engine bay though.

I agree with it being more of a cylinder shape to give it more of an OEM look.

Maybe you could put two flat surfaces on each side to be used with an open hand wrench to help torque it down? If that makes sense, LOL. I will try and find a picture of something similar of what I am talking about.

Fig, you can make a "cubed" sign in Microsoft by typing Alt+0179.

I initially had a piece that was the same as teh stock peice, it would just be aluminum. But discussions about that part made it seem like people wanted something non stocklooking.

I think making it look stock will definietly be less expensive because we can start with a hex stock. Keep the discussions going I will do a few more concepts.

Fer serious...?
like,...the only way that is gunna happen is if you gut the OEM unit & reinstall it......

You said it yer self... WARRANTY inspection ... i'd guess anything NOT OEM,...such as this pretty little unit Figs thinking of would immediately be cause for suspicion....

how about this guys I just want to get it run and make a clean part for everyone.
If you put a flat on the opposite side it will make it possible to hold with a wrench to prevent twisting when the fittings are tightened. Having said that, I'm not sure I see the point of this considering the $2.00 brake line union available from NAPA?

cosmetic of course. No one likes a brass union in a clean engine bay. ;)
