Has anyone else had this problem? The front brake calipers (stock) click loudly when engaging the brakes after changing the direction of the car (reverse to forward). It sounds like the pads are slapping the rotors. the brakes work fien otherwise. Its being doing this since 12K miles. The dealership in Bellevue Wa said its normal. Yeah, right. The car has 30k on it now.

its normal, i believe its the rears that you are hearing. as the rears are solid calipers, they do not have the side springs that keep the pads centered. if you have done your own brakes you'll know what im taking about. if not... just trust me on it.

since the springs/shims are not on the rear they will move side to side as the car changes directions. this is a normal sound and i wouldnt worry about it.

Its normal for that to happen. it makes that noise because we have floating brake calipers. Dont worry sit back and enjoy the car! :D
