Hi all,

I was waxing my car in preparation for winter and after I removed the wax and polished the car I noticed "blotches" all across the hood (looks like waterspots). So, I proceeded to polish the hood once more, but no luck. Did a search, saw people had water spots and used vinegar and water. Still no luck. Just wanted to see if anyone else had any ideas of how to remove the blotches before I just wax it and hope the wax hides them :)

Thanks for your help!

I ended up just waxing the car. It hid the blotches to an extent but you can still see them in low light. I am guessing more layers of wax won't do any better of a job, might need to use an orbital buffer to get them out. Weird. Oh well, the price you pay for getting onyx black

yes, these bloches are on my hood and trunk. It's really annoying knowing that they are there. I used dawn to wash before i waxed but they still show up. So I really don't know. Does anybody know if the onyx black has clear coat or not?
