CD player and CD-R problems?

Guys try the Black media CDRs. I think Memorex makes them. My friend has a old Kenwood CD player in his car that would not read anything. But then when the black ones came out I burned him a CD with some stuff on it and it works like a charm. I think a 50 pack runs $25. Black media is supposed to be ultra durable...this is what they use for game consoles.
