I have an 2002 Lexus IS300. My car starts idles rough then stops running. As soon as I hit the gas pedal it dies. When it was running if I hit the gas hard it would bog the motor down. Also, once it got to 3k rpms it would start sputtering really bad. I think it is a fuel issue because I can spray starter fluid in the intake and it will run. Once the starter fluid runs out the car dies. It’s not throwing any codes but at the same time I don’t think it will stay running long enough to trip any codes. I have replaced the MAF sensor, idle air control, throttle position sensor, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator and all new O2 sensors. The only think I haven’t replaced is the injectors. I have put a screw driver to all of them and they all make the consistent ticking noises. I have also put a multimeter to everything and everything is within spec. I have also checked for vacuum leaks and there is no vacuum leaks. After replacing a faulty MAF sensor sold to me by Autozone the only code I got was P0171 Bank 1 Lean. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Didn't replace the fuel filter?

Might have been cheaper to take it to someone.

If it runs fine on carb cleaner or starter fluid, it's probably a fuel issue or big vacuum leak. First thing I'd do is check the fuel pressure. It's not easy to do but it'll answer plenty of questions. Have you ever done anything with the fuel injector pulse damper? I once used the wrong washer in my pulse damper and it closed up all fuel flow. So I had good fuel pressure but no fuel to the injectors.

I think you're not getting enough fuel or getting too much air. I'd probably block every vacuum line as a trouble-shooting step. Including the PCV valve.
