can you open the trunk from the outside?? i know the BMW 323/328 has the lever right on top of the license plate. seems like the is300 is lacking a lot of little features like that.. thanx

you can use your key. unless you are talking something different.

Plus, if the Electronic trunk button doesn't work, you can still put the key in the keyhole, the old fashioned way.

Oh, and how about the interior trunk release handle?

Alot of Japanese, as well as American sedans lack the switch/handles/whatever that can open the trunk from outside w/out insert the key into the keyhole nor use remote. Seems like Europeans feel the importance of that little extra feature....
