I would just like to say that 330ciNJ is a retard. He came on bimmer.org trying to sound like a bad ass but ended up looking like a moron, and i just want to say that I appreciate everyone here not being as big of an idiot as he was and posting stupid flamebait on the bimmer web site.

ps Alot of my friends have an is300. I currently drive an x5 but think the is300 is a great car and wish they offered it with a 6 speed in the USA. I guess Ill get the new m3 instead. Anyway this is a great board, bye

Although the X5 is a very nice looking WAGON, it is not a true SUV. Come on, it's a sport wagon.

Why would you want a fast SUV? As far as I'm concerned, SUV's are for going off-road (mud, hills, sand, rock, etc.) not just dirt roads. If my wife's Civic can go where your SUV can go, then it's not an SUV.

I know, I know, but it's JMHO.

I don't hate SUV's!! Heck I own a 4-Runner! But I don't think jacked up station wagons should be called SUV's!

The X5, Mercedes ML's, Outback and such, are sport WAGONS. The 4-Runner, Sequoia, Landcruiser, Yukon, Expedition, etc. are SUV's.

And I agree with you in that if you drive an SUV, drive it like the SUV it is. It is not a sports car. They're made for utility not stupidity.

If that's true about the Merc, then I apologize, and there's nothing wrong with any of those vehicles. I just don't get how the manufacturer's are suping these cars up like they're sports cars. Then Billy Bob Fruitcake plows into someone because he thinks he's AJ Foyt!! SUV's shouldn't be fast. They're hard enough to handle when they're slow!
