just wanted to thank everyone who recommended blitz wax to me. what a grat product. i have two coats on my new IS and i've never seen water bead like that. how long does a coat of this stuff typically last? when should i put on another coat and do i need to strip the old stuff?

i get it from http://www.carcareonline.com/. they seem to be a real friendly group and they ship pretty quick. they have almost everything you will need. the blitz is great stuff. very easy to apply and even easier to remove. my father and i did both of our cars in two hours and they looked fantastic.

well you don't HAVE to use your hands. in fact the container suggests using a damp sponge much like a conventional cleaner/wax. although using your hand does do a better job. you get a more even coat and get the feedback to make sure that you aren't over applying. using too much wax makes it a disaster for removal and buffing as well as an uneven coating.
