i believe the TRD kits are made by stoptech.

also just curious, why brembo, stoptech and trd over endless, rotora, etc?

I would say for the Rotora's, no one knows them quite enough yet compared to its counterparts STOPTECH and Brembo. Endless are pricey definitely for a 4 piston System Kit (includes rotor) Rotora's seem to make alot of brake kits for VERY cheap or competitive price. Is it what you pay for what you get here? Or is Rotora just trying to step in and smash the competition...

I know Rotora capiers are 28mm compared to Stoptech/TRD/Endless are all 32mm. I think brembo's the same and also a slightly bigger diameter for the rotor.

Hope this helps.

Rotora for the IS found in Blue around 1400-1500
Stoptech black anodized around 1900-2000
Brembo. you paying arm and a leg.
Endless for the Brake kit (no rotor) its 2000-2100
Endless System kit Including rotor about 2300-2400

Go with what has proven.... Rotora rotors seem kinda small in that pic. maybe its just me?

I personally like the StopTech's that are on the PLP cars.

Is TRD = Stoptech?
Yes i do believe so. This has been gone over a few times i think. Steve Ganz at Carson verified this with us .net'ers.

I had some Rotoras on my 240SX and they were very impressive compared to stock. The pedal feel was soo much better, no fade at all, and obviously the braking distance was greatly shortened. With that said im sure the Rotoras would be a very good addition to the IS300, but at the same time they do not compare to the Brembo set that i have on my 240SX.

FYI (in case you didn't already know)...
Rotora has some new kits coming out for the IS300. Among these will be a front AND rear kit
***according to someone I spoke with today, you CAN just buy the front setup, then at a later date, get the rears if need be.
(thought that was a good plan by them)

335mm, 332mm, 1-piece, 2-piece, there's gonna be some different options as I understand it. 8)

If this is the case I applaud them. Most of us live pay check to pay check and this is a nice option. Not to many of us feel comfortable laying out 4 to 5k for a BBK. Allowing us to upgrade is just good marketing. Brembo is suppose to release a rear kit which is an add on to their existing kit as well. Nice post
