i live in california (san jose) where emission test is a part of that bitchy daily routine (luckily not for another 2 - 3 years for me)

would you guys take the chance with pfs's shipable kit (where installation and repair can be quite the hassle) or prolex's sc (it is bloody close to my place)

i am leaning toward pfs's cos i personally prefer to hear the t/c's bov rather than sc's whine, both are priced conveniently to my budget (stage 1 & vortec) and both mike and peter are super cool as we all know

so its like more power (and better noise) but a wee tad more probs, vs less power, but hassle free

*sigh* god i miss driving my is :(

BTW did PLP ever release a dyno graph for the Vortech kit? For now I'm considering TBKO SC vs PFS until the Vortech kit has a dyno graph to back it up.

both pfs (stage 1) and prolex (vortech) have not released any dynos or track times. all other f/i is now out of the question, i have narrowed my choice to either prolex and pfs, i have yet to call them for any further details, hopefully mike can be kind enough to let his customer test drive his product :)

I'm in bad spot too. I want to get PLP Vortech kit because I don't like the hassle of turbo, but i want to see Dyno numbers first :(

SRT should be another great option....their stage 1 kit put out 292 rwhp. and its listed at a reasonable price. Give them a call too. Doesn't hurt to expand your options.

You should come by and check it out for your self. If you are fast, you can contact is300soon, Kane with the PFS stage I will be in Milpitas until Sunday. Perfect opportunity for you to see both kits in person.

I think i will chime in here

PFS STAGE 1 VS PLP VORTECH AND OR POWERDYNE

PFS nice kick between 2-3 thats it, Kane's kit was the first stage 1, so there are some small issues. These issues are enough for me as a consumer to want to take another route. Ok to the plp, well its pretty, its sweet and well tuned.

I'll quote Mike, for people who know him, not just met him I am sure you have heard this .

I don't care if the kit takes another year, it will be done right!

I take that to heart, having seen the first units and now the unit on the car.

I have 2 options.

SC for my own car and Turbo for my project car.

either way as a consumer my choice would be plp for my car, and prolly a pfs stage 3 for the project car.

either way tho benigan, you are putting apples next to oranges when comparing these two kits.

It's always better to have a kit installed in-house, so I would go with PLP. PFS would be good also, but they are just too darn far from you.

david, you sound a bit biased :)
can you describe the small problems we are looking at here? kanine mentioned to me that it has been problem free ever since he installed the kit.

how bout speed, can mike's vortec run equal to kanine's pfs stage 1?

How am i biased if i am using the pfs stage 3 in our project car later this year?

anyways, ill ask kane to post in here, he heads back to WA from my house tomorrow and will be at home on Monday. I would like to retract some info, i don't mean problems in kane's kit, but some things that need to be ironed out.

just a wee tad biased, like personal reference towards plp instead of pfs, but thats not my point really :)
