I was thinking about the extra time it takes to manually downshift during a hard straight line brake. With an e-shift, one could be 100 percent on the brakes AND downshift all necessary gears.

With a manual clutch wouldn't you lose time and stopping distance by having to blip the throttle and downshift and switch back to brakes... So on and so forth?

Or can you accomplish that with the heal2toe stuff?

Any modern automatic will downshift faster than your feet. They also have super powers that upshift faster.

It's like handling a girl that just gets the job done vs. handling a girl that makes you work for it.

Yea, it's an old post. Yea, I missed it back in November.

But yes, that's where heel toe comes into play. Full on brake while downshifting.
