Hi All,

I own a Acura Integra and I am now shopping for IS300. I test drove 2 private party 2001 IS300.

1)
In first one I heard a feeble down shifting sound (or that is what I told to myself) when I apply brake.
And in second one that sound is less noticble but still there.

Is there any known issue or common occuring problem I am seeing OR
is that one of the positive aspects of high power car. ?

2) One private party owner said he used Chevron 89 fuel (and not 91) on his car. Is that fine?

1. sometimes the engine likes to downshift when you brake...especially going downhill

2. no thats not good...if its once...maybe...our cars are meant to have 91 or higher
