Any of you Bay Area/NorCal people planning on buying some different tires for the winter...I was knocking the idea around since everyone started talking about it...if so maybe we could all hook up for a group buy or something....

Is there a need for winter tires in Bay Area? I don't plan on taking my IS to Tahoe.

So you guys are of the opinion that the Potenzas will do fine in the wet road conditions of the bay area? I know it is Traction A certified...but I was curious if you had any doubts about the tire's performance in wet conditions.

it rained a couple of times in MD b4 i moved out here but the performance seems fine to me in the rain with the potenzas...as long as your not trying to drift or do anything crazy!

I don't see any problem with the Potenza in the Bay Area. The conditions are never that bad. People who live here have forgotten what real rain is like.
I don't plan on taking mine to Tahoe. I'll need to bum a ride in a friend's car for that.

It was raining last night and this morning and my Potenza RE040s seemed to be gripping just fine...
