Hey everyone,

I'm thinking right now about upgrading my car stereo system, speakers, amp etc.

What would be a reasonable price for installation? I'm just searching around wondering what is a normal price range. Thanks

All depends on the shop. Call around and ask. I think ~$150-200 or so would be pretty realistic for HU, speakers, and amp.

PS: You are active af lol

I've gotten more time now on my hands, and want to learn more and put time into my car!

Thanks, I looked at crutchfield they have these installation cards you can buy but then when you put it all together it comes out to a lot. Has anyone had experience with crutchfield? Would you think they are more legitimate than an audio shop in town?

As far as putting in speakers and a HU.. I think you should be able to pull it off. I attempted it myself, not knowing how to do anything and it came out great lol. Amps though, I?ve never wired not tried to so I can?t give u my opinion on that, I don?t think it should be that difficult though bro. Just find some instructions and follow carefully. Also some advice if you are gonna install tweeters and replacing the factory ones, take the two 10mm bolts out and cut the tweeter off.. put some WD40 between the metal base thing and the tweeter and squeeze a knife or something sharp through. The tweeter and metal base will separate and use some silicone and place the new tweeter on there! Worked out great for me! I cut my old tweeter off and electrical taped off the wires because in my new speakers the tweeters go wired to the subwoofer itself. Best of luck bro!

EDIT; My new tweeters were bigger, they were an inch. They fit in the sail panel from the factory tweeter too so I don?t know why some people had to get a new sail panel lol. If you have to squeeze them in there just cut off some of the plastic inside of the panel.
