I just picked up my Silver IS today, and was playing with the features.....Just wondering, does the IS have an alarm system/audible alarm?
If so, I couldn't get it to go off. I got a lojack system included, and that should have come with an audible alarm.

addendum...I just read the manual. it looks like i need to turn the key to lock and pull the key before the alarm is activated?

correct me if I'm wrong.

To test the alarm: leave a window down. lock doors, let alarm set itself then reach in and unlock the door and open the door. The alarm should sound.

yeah... that is exactly how i set off the alarm. i had to unlock the door with the alarm set and the windows down. it's pretty loud.. but it could use a little more umph.. maybe an air horn. i'd be interested in finding out what alarms other's are looking at or have installed.
