Although I know both cars are not exactly competitors, I'm debating which one to purchase. I have a deposit on each car, and my decision has to be made soon! It's between a 2002 TT 180hp Quattro (which now comes in a new blue) and a blue IS300 5-speed. Both are a blast to drive, but each has its pros and cons. The TT is more expensive and has more luxury options, but it's German engineered and gains a lot on sex appeal than the IS. The IS may not turn as many heads (and be considered a rice rocket), but it's faster and cheaper. I need help!!!

The IS300 is faster, cheaper and more reliable. If 'german engineering' and the looks are worth the price tag to you, I'd say go for the Audi.

The TT is really fast - they were blazing at my track event in Canada - of course tracked 1.8T's are usually chipped to 215+ hp, at which is becomes faster than an IS300. I haven't driven one, but I love the Audi A3, better than the A4, so it's probably similar to the A3. Too much money IMO tho.

i personally like the audi TT too. the looks of both cars are a big contrast, one is sporty, the other is sporty + sedan. when choosing which one to get, you might want to consider who will be enjoying the ride with you. the back seats of the audi TT are tiny. Also, depending on your profession, sometimes you will find the IS300 more useful for carrying stuff, but definitely not the TT.

another point of view is their values. i think the audi TT will definitly holds its value when comparing with an IS300. Since normally people tend to change their rides in about 5-7 years, the audi TT should be the definite choice.

i love my IS300, but you must choose a car that fits your personality. at last, the IS300 should be more reliable than the audi TT.
