Sorry I'm new to the boards here and yesterday I noticed a newbie like myself that was from my area, I jus wanted to say hi and if we see each other around town (since its not that big) we could say hi to one another. His or her name is something like TRDis300 or something like that, I can't find the post where I saw the name

If anyone else wants to read this post, I also wanted to say nice clean board and I love the IS300, can't wait for the 5 speed!!!!!

I have the IS300.net stickers in graphite on my back quarter windows. I also have the TTE lip spoiler on as of today.
What does your car look like. What color is it. Not too many IS's out here in V-town.
Also were any of you guys at the Shinestreet meet last Saturday?

Lexus Luthor, very surprising I haven't spotted your car, since I work near Henry Mayo on Valencia Blvd.

As for my car its dark blue, current gen Celica, and I have few sponsor and team graphics on my car (full body covering). If U haven't seen me around I haven't been driving enough or your jus blind. (jus a joke, my car really stands out) Just look for the words Unison, R2 Autodesign, and Daily Driven Show Stopper.

If U still don't know ask DeTW, I met him at Hollywood Park a coiuple months ago, he knows!!!!!!!!!!

Incidentally, where can I get some brake caliper paint around here? I went to Pep Boys on Soledad and they gave me a clueless look... I still haven't found any of the good tuner shops around here since I'm originally from the SFV.

SooperLex, there are not good tuner stores out here in the good ol SCV.

Sorry, don't know where to get the paint either. Do a search on the topic. I know it has been discussed before.

YEah if a shop out here in SCV has it, they'll charge 50-75 percent more for it. I would suggest using high degree resistant paint from Home Depot.

It works betta than the paint speed shops use and its cheaper, jus make sure its somewhere in the range of (I believe) 500-600 degree Farenheit and up.

Yeah, I have gone to Home Depot and looked for some high temp paint ... unfortunately, they don't have it in red when I went... I may just get black in the meantime... my calipers look like crap... I have no idea what they coated them with, but whatever it is, sucks.

Lexus of Valencia put me on a list for the ECU update/TRAC fix.... has anyone else done it up here? The service manager hadn't heard of it when I explained it to him, but one of the techs knew about it.
