Could the problem be the Lexus technicians reseting your OEM ECU? From what I have heard the IS300's ECU learns driving patterns and takes a few hundred miles to readjust.

i ave had this happen, take it to the dealer for a service to keep up the warranty, and you get it back and its all slow, just reset the ecu, they always puyll the battery cable, kind of lame, but it does hurt to get shocked, trust me.

it was smooth, just slow, reset it, drive the hell out of it for a few miles and let it go

on the bright side you know they don't rag the hell out of your car after you took it in
