That's right! You and I got in a wreck the same day!! My damages were over 10 gs, what about yours? Heres a helpful tip, sir. You need to go for damages to the car plus loss of value. Being that our car is brand new and a brand new model Loss of Value is very real.

I went a step further and had my friend at the Lexus dealership write the Insurance company a letter saying that I had already ordered a 2002 IS 300 with manual & gps etc and that my 2001 has suffered signicant Loss of Value due to the accident. Now the Ins Co is giving me a additional 5-7 gs on top of fixing my car and paying for my rental.

something to keep in mind!:)

Here's the rundown -
What the TLS has on the IS - Better acceleration, more power, more room

what the IS got on the TLS - handling

styling is different on both so it depends on your taste. the handling of the IS is a LOT better than TLS (even with suspension mods)

the TLS is probably the best value for $30k of any other car out there... it's a great car overall... for more info, visit www.acura-tl.com

Shinto,

If I were you I would go back to where you got your car and explain the situation to your salesperson. Being that he/she may have the chance to sell you another IS, I imagine he/she would be happy to type up a lil letter. To make things go smoother with the Ins Co ask the sales person to type in that the sales process began prior to the accident and that you have been waiting for the 2002 to come in for some time now.

Now, if this works you better not go get an ACURA!!
