Have we reached the point where almost all the IS300 enthusiasts on this board now own the car or are there any folks on this board who are still debating the IS300/330Ci/C320/A4-S4/CL-Type S(gag) choice when it comes to their next car purchase?

I'm waiting for the 2002 with the manual. I am really tempted to buy a 2001 with the automatic, but I figure I will hate myself in a year when the 5 speed comes out.

I'm still having a hard time deciding between an IS and 325ci. I'm leaning towards the IS for the superior customers service, plus I can get a better deal. But if I can find a low mileage 2000 328ci I'll probably go for the bimmer because the soft paint issue still really bothers me. Some have mentioned that all new cars have this problem but my parents have a new MB S class and a 99 540i and neither have this problem. I will have my mind made up and be driving a new vehicle by the end of the month.

I'm still deciding. I'm leaning toward a beater (used Accord) and a used Supra TT.

It's down to a sporty family car, IS300/BMW ($33k-40k) or a family sedan and a sports car ($35k-40k).

I fell in love with the Supra TT the moment I saw it and have wanted one ever since.

yep, me still...i've been on this board for a while...but I'm still one that does not own an IS300....mainly because I want a MANUAL!!!! Lexus better hurry up on that feature cos' I can't wait any more.........

I was thinking of buying a 330CI, but my wonderful parents are buying my fiance and I one of those, so now, I get to have best of both worlds!

I am going to buy the IS. I have a couple of goals that I have to reach before I can own one. There are some other cars like the CL and the Audi that have caught my eye but I think I'll hold out for the IS. I think it's just the way the car felt while shifting gears from the steering wheel rather that the middle console. That and the fact that the IS is my favorite car on GT2

I'm still waiting for Lexus to start shipping black leather interiors with Limited Slip Differentials to California (or me to move from California).

Can you belive that buyers in Idaho have more option choices than California? At least with MBenz you can order it the way you want it.

I suspect I will be waiting until the 2002s are here:-(

Yep, I decided I wanted the IS300 last week. However, since then, I'm now leaning towards the S4. The IS is a very nice car, but I think I need a little more power and a bigger car. Unfortunately, to get the S4, I would have to say bye-bye to my S2000 (unless the stock market goes back up). Can't justify 2 performance cars and having to leave the S4 sitting outside while my S2000 sits in the garage. Decisions decisions. But while at the dealership, I saw plenty of potential IS buyers.

I think that I'm pretty well set on the IS300. Not sure whether I'll go for a 2001 or a 2002. I'd like to get an idea on the price difference.

Haven't tested any others yet and I plan to at least drive those in my price range/class. I think the IS will win regardless cuz I fell in love with it's overall styling

I'm still looking over everything, and hope to have made a decision by the end of November. I'm really in love with the IS300 but i wonder if i should save some money and spend it on more other things, such as a new motorbike (which i'm going to purchase by April
).

My next car will be in late 01.
1. I want an IS but only with manual.
2. The new Volvo S60 looks good in pictures and if the price is below the IS and it drives great, etc. Than that will be my pick over the IS.
3. The new A4 looks good to though, if priced like they were than might be good choice.
4. But I'm a Nissan person so if the Maxima is freshened in 02 and gets the rumored 3.5 then that would most likely be my choice.

this was my dilemma, what should i get, i had quite an eclectic assortment of cars to choose from all within the relative price range. my list was something like; Honda S2000, 95-96 Hummer Wagon or Softtop, Plymouth Prowler, Lincoln Navigator, Audi TT/Roadster, Lincoln Navigator, Saab 9^5, New Celica, MR2Spyder, Porshe, SLK320, Convertible Corvette, and the IS300. Somehow or other most of the cars got crossed off without a testdrive, and i ended up waiting for the IS, waiting, waiting, going to the dealer, eating cookies, playing golf, waiting...then i got my IS, picked th blue, sight unseen. No regrets whatsoever. Car does everything i need, has everything i want, almost. not perfect for everyone, but perfect for me. i went and got me an IS300 brochure(dealer), IS200 Brochure (friend from this forum), Lexus 2000 Press Kit (ebay), some Lexus patches(ebay), Lexus hat(ebay) and a model car coming(dealer gift) to supplement my car.
