IM NEW TO THIS FORUM AND I WOULD JUST LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY CANADAINS OUT THERE WHO HAVE BOUGHT THE IS300. AND WHAT THEY THINK OF IT. ALSO I'VE BEEN READING THAT IN OTHER COUNTRIES LEXUS OFFERS BODY KITS, SPIOLERS, AND MAGS AS DEALER OPTIONS. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF LEXUS OF CANADA IS DOING THE SAME THING.
it seems that people prefer to wait up here. the price for the leather/suede power seat pkg. seems a little high. i did drive it though, and it was one hell of a car performance wise. it is the lack of details that annoys me.
anywho... if u r in vancouver, i am sure there r plenty of aftermarkets mods imported by performance shops in richmond. u just have to look around.
Agreed with you, Beholder. Performance and (predicted) reliablity wise, IS300 is the best choice among 4 door sports sedans.
For the level of details, I would say they need to do a bit more work. Area such as the glove box should have the damp control (A4 and 330i have it), memory seats and possibly the auto-dimming mirrors (it's not a concern to me as I will put an aftermarket convex anti-dazzling mirror anyways, but I bet a lot of people prefer to have this feature though)
I guess I could live with the low armrest, prop-rod, and the econo car type trunk door and gas opener.
Sorry, didn't occur to me to ask when I went to the dealer last month. I'll ask when I set up an appointment for a test drive in a coupla weeks (or when I find a free Saturday).
