While I was doing some research on AWD wagons, Toyota Altezza Gita came to mind. It seems that in Japan, you can get a 4WD Altezza Gita AS300. While it is similar to our SportCross, the 4WD options is what makes it stand out.

I am having a very hard time going through pages in japanese. :x

Does anyone know more about that car? Specs? US conversion? Manual Transmission (seems N/A) availability? :chill:

Who knows, maybe eventually we will get AWD here (one can only hope). :whine:

They only offer 4 gear automatic w/ 4WD option on AS300, however, it seems that the same 2JZ-GE engine is used.

With a 2jz motor..... I wonder how they gonna squeeze a front diff and propeller shaft under that engine bay? Doesnt seem too roomy.

That may be why only 4A tranny is available.
