Hello all! Is it possible at all to get an aftermarket H/U to hookup with the stock system? I know some guys had experimented and figured out how to make the stock unit work with aftermarket amps and such, is it possible to do the reverse?



p.s.-I just said possible, not easy. I have a cousin who's basically an electronics expert, so I'm just asking if any of you guys have experimented and found out any possibilites? Thanks!

It is possible.
It would, however, require relocation of the stock headunit, provided you want to put the new aftermarket headunit in its place.

It is not worth it, IMO. Replacing the whole stock system, including speakers, with aftermarket produces much better results.
