I just bought a set of RacingHart M5's. 17X7.5 & 17x8.5 stagger setup with 215x45x17 in the front and 235x40x17 in the rear. The wheels look great, the price was too good to turn down, but I am very disappointed. I lowered my car about 1-3/4", but the setup looks too small for my 2003 IS300. I should of at least gone with 18" wheels, but too late. I am wondering if I can go with larger tires in the front and rear to fill the wheel well. Maybe 225x45x17 in the front and 245x40x17 in the rear? Or bigger? Comments? Recommendations?

you can use 225/45/17 on stock rims with barely any error in the speedo.

Why are you running 40 profile in the rear? i know that profile is a % of width, but if your going 8.5 in the rear, i would use teh same profile as the front to get a more aggressive rear tire look (it doesn't look like you'll be doing tire rotations).

I think you should get 45 profiles all around, lower it a bit more... do -1~-1.5 camber in the front, and it should look decent.

I was told 225 and the 245 would not fit on my IS300. Maybe because the offset on my M5's are +51.

225 & 245x45x17 sounds like a nice setup. Thanks.

Any other advise?
