Yesterday I saw the add oil light come on for a second and then go off and then again a couple minutes later and then go off. i proceeded to drive about 25 miles or less stop and go city driving. I checked my dipstick and my oil in almost none existent... couldn't find any leaks so i went to bed. woke up this morning to check the coolant res as suggested here and what do we have? looks like my coolant res now is a holding for OIL... it is also alot lower than when i filled it up to try and get the GURGLING out from the dash maybe 2 months ago. I last changed my oil 5k~ miles ago and was going to change it today. Now i fear the worst. Does anyone know what has happened?
is300 with 108k miles

Maybe a headgasket. Have you ever overheated the car? I would start by doing a compression test on all 6 cylinders and then do a leak down based on the readings. Something is obviously not right.

Well i would perform the tests as mentioned, compression then leak down. Any oil in the coolant is not good(or coolant in oil). It could very well be the rings are shot, it's hard to say and guess without performing those tests. Check your plugs and see of they are white from coolant or black and tar like from oil. Once you get your compression numbers post them here. It should read 156/196, wet and with some oil, respectively.

So my neighbor that builds cars came over and said my coolant is that color because my coolant is red and that my oil is that low because i drive it hard and its been 5k+ since i changed my oil and my engine has 107k miles on it.
Everything is fine and i'm going to do an oil change tomorrow!

jason he said that oil can't go into my coolant and that only coolant can go into oil

Not really sure what oil level has to do with it. Coolant should never mix with oil and vice versa.

Oil can make it's way into your coolant. That's why you have oil in your reservoir now. A failed head gasket would be the most common cause of oil in the coolant. Others would ne a cracked head or block or bad seals. You can also have coolant getting into the combustion chamber and work it's way into the crankcase. They end up mixing together at some point usually.
