Coming home from a xmas work party, this punk kid in a white 2dr coupe 3.2S was tryin to fuck with me, we both pull up to a red light, he kept reving his shit, so i represnted to the fullest. Off the line I pulled like crazy up to 100 I had about 3.5 car length. he got :chill:

dude...you wish you smoked a 3.2S....you must have been smoking some good shit.....no offense to you guys cause i love the IS, but its not as fast as us....in fact the other day i gave one w/a 75shot 3 cars and passed him by 80....unless you got a turbo...you dont stand a chance :shame: :shame:

Actually with the mods he has it should be pretty close. They should have close to the same WHP level to a stock CL-S, and up top the IS will have a torque advantage and flatter power curve. --Assuming bashar368 has an 02 M/T that is.

come on.....3.5 cars :lol: it might have been close if the CL was stock w/ his mods, but are you sure it was a type S? I mean not to say we ever lose, cause lord knows we do, but ive never heard of any of our owners losing to you guys, except for the turbo's, which by the way are sweet....i wish someone made a turbo for us....anyways i should have done this first....good kill

Hey Guys:

I have an 01 Cl-S and have to say subjectively that w/o nitrous or turbo that this is hard to believe. I ran 14.4's with just an intake (w/slips and friends watching) since then I have done a bit or work to the car and its considerably faster. The IS300 is by far no slouch (especially in handling) but in a straight line race the CL-S will usually take it by 3-4 cars. Granted he posted he has an ecu upgrade but that alone rarely makes up the difference of 3-4 car lengths unless your boosting. For comparison with an intake and headers my dyno was at 234HP & 201Ft/Lbs. With head/intake/ecu work done I dyno at 264hp and 232lbs. Again... your cars are quick especially in handling (where it really shines) but in a straight run.... not that great in comparison to most every 02/03 coupes... So before you get all :pissed: and flame me... look at it realistically without :chill: or :whine: and fess up... especially against an auto CL-S (where there is even less room for driver errror) 3-4 cars to 100mph is :shame: happening.

BTW: I also have the GS300 with your 2jz-ge worked a little so I KNOW the capabilities of the car pretty damn well with your powertrain unless you boost or spray it :D

Ohhhh yeah makes me financially viable enough to own an overpriced avalon in addition to an overpriced accord... we stupid honda/toyota owners always confuse easily.

Chris, don't even try to convince these guys that their car is slower. Unless their packing a turbo their in the rear view. And oh thank GOD that is the case so I don't have to see their wack ass alcheeza lights. :roll:

Just so you don't make a bigger ass out of your self, there are a few members here that have run 14.9 - 14.8 bone stock. the intake this guy has adds 22 RWHP at 4500 RPM and maintains an avarage of 15 with a peak of 13 his exhaust also is the most powerful N/A exhaust, adding 11 Peak RWHP with an Intake he should have about 205 to 208 RWHP on a M/T IS. beside that fact that not everyone can drive i beat an F-body once because the dumb shit couldn't drive, i have also seen someone in a Viper run a 16 second 1/4 because they didn't know how to shift...

Now Troll's go back to your own forum unless you are inviting us over for some havok...

By the way comparing the Auto IS to the CL-S 6 speed is classic. :roll:
I did 15.1 1/4 in my E-shift by the way.

this is just ridiculous, i dont know whats a bigger load of bullshit, a non-turbo IS300 beating a CL-S or a fucking CAI that gives 22 whp?!?!?! hahahaha that is so fucking bullshit, no intake alone will ever add that much hp...no fucking way. its a god damned INTAKE!!! intakes are not that effective....get real people, intakes give 5-10 hp max...on any car, any make of intake, anything...no intake will ever give 22 whp...if you have a dyno that shows JUST an intake that gave 22 whp, there was definately major environmental factors involved or major equipment failure on the part of the dyno....i know non of you guys are around where i live, but fuckin a, i would race ANY non-turbo/non NOS IS300 any day and i would beat any of them with my CL-S...only mods i have are headers and springs (and some other minor stuff) and i get [email protected] non nos/non turbo IS can touch that?? none...thats what i thought....boys, try to keep your kill stories legit, this isnt neverneverland

Screw you CL people who think you're the sweetest thing since forced induction to hit the streets. if i had wanted to only go fast i woulda bought something other than my IS - maybe a camaro or mustang or even one of those ugly CLs :lol:

you all drive a boring, FWD car that happens to have a little power... at least all of us IS owners look smooth when we're drivin around. i'd rather just cruise nice and easy so that everyone can admire how good my ride looks than live a quarter mile at a time because wow sweet i have a fast car. and BTW STOCK IS 5-speed runs a 6.8 0-60 or faster. 6.8 is what lexus gives it... oh wait u compared your car to an e-shift - might wanna fix that. and besides you all act like 0-60 is the most important determinant to a good car... hahaha that's funny. the IS will outhandle and outdrive your CL any day

no regrets on my purchase, especially if the CL was the alternative...

It all comes down to the driver - BOTTOM LINE! :noway: It can happen. Most of know that in a straight line with equal drivers the CL/TL-S will take us. That's prolly why it got posted that and IS beat one. Plain and simple. I beat one of your beloved Integra Type-R's in my freaking 96 Maxima 5sp. Your brilliant representative of Acura was shifting at around 5 or 6 grand. :oops: I can go on with races I should've lost but didn't because of the other driver. This was all in the past now - I am more mature with a Lexus now. :wink: j/k
