I already have an amp for the speakers and no i wanna add an amp and sub to complete it. I was just wonderin if it'll be to much on my battery. i dont want my car to die on me somehwere.
I have a 800W Kenwood amp for my speaks, and just add a kicker comp VT 400 RMS sub, with kicker zx400.1 400RMS amp...run everything smoothly...u should not have any problem if u wire everything correctly.
unless u run some huge rattling sub, you will be fine..

red tops aren't made to deep cycle..........................................................
I 2nd the Optima recommendation. They're more $$, but they are quality and as with everything else, you get what you pay for.

A battery isn't deeply cycled until its discharged below 50% depth of discharge. High wattage audio applications aren't running at their full rated power continuously, so between the car alternator and a good battery you will be fine.
