I saw an almost perfect spy photo on the car connection website (http://www.thecarconnection.com/index.asp?=4826), and it looks very nice. My mom already has an order on one, but the dealer didn't say when they're due. Horsepower is supposedly about 240, which is the norm in this class now, and they say it handles better than an X5, which is hard to believe. The interior, of course, will be swanky, and I think they might even offer 3rd row seating.
I guess Lexus would have another hit with the redesigned RX.

I have a CD chock full of RX330 photos. It looks cleaner, and almost SportsCrossesque in the back. We can't post any on Edmunds because of the photo embargo. That lifts on 1/3/03 if I remember correctly.

Here's a more direct link to that photo:

What I find most interesting is that I always felt that the IS300 SportCross would look better/more "upscale" if its side profile (especially the C & D Pillar areas) looked more like the RX300. Yet here we have the RX330 with a roof treatment quite reminiscent of the SportCross!

Also,is it just me, or does the rear of the RX330 look large enough to fit a 3rd seat? I don't think so.

Now that you mention it, the rear is too raked and doesn't seem like it'll fit a third row of passengers. Besides, they offer a 3rd row of seating in the GX470, so they'll probably leave the RX a 5 seater. I wonder when they're planning to bring in the VX540 (LX470 replacement).
