215/45R17 all-season tires available ?

I noticed in 2003 it lists "215/45R17 all-season tires available " as an option. Are they still available? And what's the package code? I only see 16" all seasons available when I look up all the options/pricing on KBB.

Thanks!

Very very nice write-up. Can you or anyone confirm that all Lexus exhausts are made of stainless steel?

So all I missed out by not getting a 2003 is the revised cupholder. I'll live with that (or without that as it would happen) just fine.

Sorry to bring this old post up. It says the Manual is an option from 2002 and that's what I have, a 2002 5MT. It also says LSD was discontinued in late 2004 or 2005, does it mean all the 5MTs from 2002 to mid-2004 have LSD?

No. LSD was an option on manual IS300s between the 2002 and 2004 model years. To find out if you have it, check out this FAQ Sticky atop the General Discussion Forum:

Thats it?

If these are the only differences between the cars then why does Lexus sell a separate repair manual for each model year?

I just wrecked a 2004 and picked up a 2003. I'm assuming the manual will not mislead me.

Hey, Joaquin,
Bringing this thread back from the dead..but I've been wondering lately and can't seem to get a definitive answer regarding the gray leather interior for the 2003 and 2004 SportDesign models. I KNOW that the 2003 gray leather seats had dark piping, and the 2004 gray interior did NOT.

However, referring to your post above, besides the piping of the seats, was there a difference between the 2003 Ash Gray interior color versus the 2004 Smoke Gray interior color??

It seems to me that the 2003 was a darker gray color. Or were they exactly the same shade of gray, just one with dark piping and one without?

Thanks for any input!

I'm enjoying this thread in late 2016, so I'd say it's still pretty darn useful myself. :)

Could anyone confirm what hears the sunroof-less cars were available? Thanks!

sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but I figure its better than starting another thread.

when I bought my 04 sportdesign from lexus a little over a year ago, I was told alabaster metallic was the only color that was offered under the sportdesign model for 2004. can someone confirm? the language in the first post is sort of confusing.

also, they ranted and raved how rare a manual trans sportdesign is, and how ill never see another in my lifetime. I know they didn't make too many of these cars in manual in general, but is it really that rare? common sense would tell me that they would make more of these sportdesign models in manual, due to it being a sports trim in a sports car.
