I wish I had my stock tires on. I maxed out at 120. The car is extremely stable at high speeds. The car does pull pretty good in 4th gear. I have to pay too much attention to the road after 110 MPh to notice acceleration in 5th.

I came off of I5 at Nees Ave exit outside a place called Firebaugh. I hit just shy of 145 on a perfectly straight 10 mile chunk of level road. The car would not go any faster, and I still had plenty of room. I think the scary part is the brakes. I am pretty sure that if you slam on the brakes and slow down to a dead stop from that speed, you will screw up the pads or rotors.

yeah i have a feeling that the car would lift off....the problem with the brakes is that if it heats up all of a sudden and then you let off...it'll cool, and probably warp the rotors.

I think the car will be ok. The EBD and ABS won't let it. I did some heavy braking coming off 100 MPh. The brakes are sooooo good. Absolutely love it.

I love the braking i had to brake from 60-80 MPH to zero bec of a traaffic light turning red on me while i was in a race and there were 4 ppl in the car and it stopped w/o a QUACK or SCREECH i loved IS so much that day =)

and well the most i have gone is 120+ becasue we don't have nice straight streches here in NO VA and i don't trust my IS on turns at those speeds for some reason i don't think it is too stable on high speed turns...

When you guys go that fast, you should just let off the gas and coast (if there is room on the freeway) to slow down the car. Braking at those high speeds is not smart because you can easily lose control of the car. Oh, I hit 129 a few weeks ago; no the pedal was not to the floor.
