Made it out to an 1/8 mile track in Kennadale TX (just south of DFW). Car was pretty consistant. Ambiant temp was about 78deg F, track control 'off', and had 1/2 tank of 93oct super unleaded.

Reaction - .715
60ft - 2.389
330ft - 6.736
ET @ 594ft - 9.641
1/8 ET - 10.280
1/8 MPH - 69.43

Made 4 runs and they were near identical. The above is the best ET. On the first run I jumped the light, backed out of the throttle momentarily, and then got back into it. That run was a 10.386 at 69.33mph. The last three runs were within .010 on time and mph. Had a lot of looks out there with the 'good ol boys' in their mustangs and camaro's. Also had 2 young, very attractive girls come up to me and comment on how much they liked the car. So all in all not a bad evening.
I am planning on running it in the Nov 12 Import event at Ennis (1/4 mile) just for fun. That should give a good baseline for the 'before turbo' performance.

1/8 mile times don't mean much to me. How do these numbers compare with other cars that you have seen run at the same track???

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing as Teg... what are the times for other cars you've raced or seen?

10 secs in the 1/8 is not good. My old 1990 Eclipse GSX ran it in 9 secs or so stock and 8.2 secs at 85 mph in the 1/8 moded. but that 8.2 secs was a 12.9 @ 105 in the 1/4
Boy do I miss the speed and power.

PS
Hey DJ I am going to be in Seattle Thursday - Sunday for a job interview. Can you tell me of any places I should go or see while up there? Also any good things or negitive things about Seattle?

While 1/8 mile results don't mean much to the people here...I'd be curious what the average time on the lot is for the IS vs. anyother car. With the exception of Vettes, and M3s (likely very close to the same time on the lot) I think the IS does quite well.

I see a lot of lonely CL S Types....Geoff any comment on that? Why isn't that little coupe jumping off the lot?

ummm... not my business, but probably cuz the CL-S kinda looks like an Accord Coupe.

Russell,
I guess if you've never been here before you gotta check out all the tourist spots...

Space Needle/Seattle Center/EMP and take the Monorail to Pacific Place Shopping/Westlake Mall
Pike Place Market
Pioneer Square (night time clubs/bars)
W Hotel on 5th & Seneca (nice bar & restaurant)
University of Washington campus
Broadway/Capitol Hill Area

Ummm... if there's something you wanted to see in particular, let me know...

Oh yeah, good luck in the interview.
