The IS250/IS350 are virtually the same car w/ a different motor/trans combo

So why not just get a 350

I would seriously research the price of a 350 motor. From what I hear, those bad boys aren't cheap.

Not really....its at an auction, probably a theft recover and a salvage title, and it needs an engine. Technically its worthless....

Where did you hear that? Even a 500hp GM LS7 doesn't cost that much.

you can buy the engine from the carson oem site. it runs $11,512.64 without shipping. this also does not include the manifolds, fuel Components, engine electrical components, transmission, and any other parts here and there. so you're looking at $25 grand + for the shell, engine and other parts that you may need. then add money for labor if it's not a DIY project and it stacks up.
