Hey all! Quick question: what do you do about your melting dashboard?

1. Live with it
2. strip the nougat off the existing dash, prep and paint
3. Swap in a dash from 2001 that didn't have that "feature"

if you have a free weekend, removing and restoring your dash isn't very difficult. there are some really good writeups online for removing the dash DIY: Removing the dash, center console, and painting them *tons of pics* - ClubLexus - Lexus Forum Discussion goes step by step and is what i used for removal. I had used SEM paints and the quality came out great. Removing the stickyness from the dash is messy and a pain in the ass. i used paint stripper, scotch bright pads, and rolls and rolls of paper towels.
