Hi All
long time lurker, 1st time poster. Original owner of an 01 IS. My passenger side tan color seat belt is frayed at the top of the resting section so every time someone sit there it is hard to pull down due to the frayed portion. Everything is working properly. Is there a way to replace just the belt portion w/o having to buy the entire component? If so is there an aftermarket or cheaper alternative That is safe? Planning on keeping car to hand down to my son when he gets his license in a couple of years. If possible I’d rather go with new belt for safety reason vs. a used (can never tell the condition) but open to ideas and recommendations.
thanks

You would have to disassemble the pretensioners. It’s probably a pain. Best to just go to a slavage yard and buy a replacement.
