Received my 7D yesterday... I haven't had a chance to even read the manual to learn about all the new features:
A quick shot with ISO 6400 to test low light image:
At 100% crop, it's noisy. Shrunk to monitor sizes, it looks pretty good.
I pre-ordered the 7D on Sunday. I hope to get it soon.
From what I have read, the AF system is top notch. I have read mixed reviews about the high (1600+) ISO performance. Most of the reviews have been on pre-release models. It should be a nice upgrade from my 30D.
I shot my coworkers flag...
I had to get them from Tirerack as the local places can't source them anymore. I believe it has been replaced by the Eagle F1 Asymmetric.
My first two sets were made in Germany. My last one (to replace a tire with a bubble on the sidewall) was made in China.
I didn't drive the IS in the winter as I had a Subaru. I sold that car and replaced it with the STI. I didn't drive the IS much last year so I decided to sell it. This is especially true that during the summer I rode my motorcycle a lot for commuting.
I had my IS300 for almost 7 years. Only 71,000km on her but I sold her today to a friend of mine. He's a car enthusiast also so I know she's in good hands. Bill and Meng, I'll still meet you guys in my Subi!! :)
