|jetpig||Great news to report. I called Lexus Corporate. They said they do believe the part failed prematurely so they will cover parts, we cover labor. Lexus rocks!|

|jetpig||BarKat, this was the first item I checked and suspected. All with the intake was good. I called Lexus Corp a couple days ago letting them know I was firmly in belief this was caused directly by Lexus as a result of the VVT recall. Obviously the dealer says no. Another owner on another forum said he had a bad ground on the pump solenoid. causing the same malfunction.|

|bartkat||I had that problem after the shop didn't reinstall my intake properly. Air was getting in after the IAT. I put it back together and no more problem. This only happened when I went up north and the car sat out overnight. Ran ok after the day warmed up.|

|jetpig||Ok here we go. Car went to the shop. Couple days later, our service rep called and said the high pressure fuel pump was failing. Cost: A nominal $1300 and he said he gave us all the discounts he possibly could.|

08 Lexus IS350 stalling/runs rough after valve recall fix
I have seen this sporatically on forums but have never seen a dealer found fix reported yet. My wife's 08 IS350 w 47K which ran absolutely PERFECT before the dealer touched it, went in for the variable valve recall about 20 days ago. Since getting the car back, it has repeatedly stalled on first morning starts, will run for a while and then stall and once is up and running periodically runs rough. My initial thought was possibly a tank of bad gas but it is well beyond that now.
Has anyone else had this happen to their IS 350 after this recall and what has the dealer fix been?
Thanks. Just trying to educate before taking it to the dealer.
