Drift Setup & Discussion Thread

So since there a few more peeps out there experimenting with sliding their IS300 I have decided to setup this thread. Basically follow the layout I will post for describing your car and its setup. Questions are allowed and so is posting videos of you drifting at events (Street drifting can be saved for the garage).

green_machine: I don't know about you, but I felt like the URAS steering angles spacers was a nice improvement. How is the OEM LSD holding up? I am thinking about getting an auto diff and welding it as a back up.

steering spacers were great. my tie rod hit's the LCA now. which means it's the max angle you can get. you'd have to get a redesigned LCA or a different mount for the ball joint for it to get more angle than now. I will proobably do that some time in the future.

the diff is good. i can't complain. im surprised this is stock because it's kind of rough just turning normal corners. perfect for me though.

Enyaw: Any particular reason your running -3 camber in the rear??? Its so much easier to bring around with less camber.

jimmybahh: I can't wait to get my turbo kit going while I build my 1UZ motor.

I run an 18x9.5 +30 in the rear for daily, so I needed to camber it out to fit it.

even with -3 camber, I don't have any problems getting the rear end loose.

Enyaw: Nice thats pretty nuts for stock fenders in the rear. I am running 18x9.5 all the way around with 235s. Front offset is +30 and rear is +20, but I have custome metal overfenders in the rear so I can still go lower offset. What tires are you drifting on in the back?

My cars on hella flush. I got 17x9 1/2 +24 and 17x10 1/2 +27 rear. I had to pull my stock body but I love it.

And my turbo kit was only 1600 bucks. I'm on stock fueling and everything. I've been driving the piss out of this car and no problems.

Yeah I remember seeing your car on the site. I am good friends with most of the Fatlace SF crew. Man how I miss stock body.....stupid bodykits make it harder to go that low successfully in my opinion.
