Remember Fairuza/Brian, no vid, no slip, no time then...

Again, it wasn't anything impressive to post about anyway. I'm not being a street racer. I don't street race. Don't have interest in it either for the $$ or for braggin rights. Just love the feeling of a fast distinctive/different modified car. When it's worthwhile, and can not say been there done that (cause the times I ran peeps already done it), I'll post. Whether that would be the first, 2nd, or 12th person to do so, it'll be fine with me, but I'll post when something new for the IS300 is done as I've done in the past. We're always striving to improve and progress our cars as we've been doing for past 3-4 years (for those who were pioneers of boosted cars) everyone wins.

TRACTION is the key..

as well as a few of those top 3 would have been in the 10's EASY if they werent kicked out of the track, nobody had roll bars/cages....

stay tuned, there will be a handful of IS300's getting into the 10's this season....

Suspension setup is also very vital. You must have a very good drag suspension setup (0 degree camber, stiffened rear, wider wheels, sticky tires, etc.) along with an excellent launch.

I know for autoX with the PTE 76, even at minimum boost off of W.G. (approx.18psi), I would be all over the place (600whp) plus the lag. But the road race, it will still be quite entertaining to push it around. My suspension, brakes, rear is set up more for the road race than anything else. With the TH400, this would not even be possible. It would be hilarious though if someone tried to road race a car with TH400 tranny, but not so much fun for the driver.

If I hit 10s with my car, then I'm content because it'll be an ALL AROUND car (The 4"S"s). I might not have the all time fastest 1/4 car, but I take on challengers for all around competion, kinda like the USCC. I'm counting the days to where I can take the car to the track. I know where I am currently with my car on street SO3 tires on pump gas on the 1/4mile consistently. I'm just itching to go now for the BGF Drags and still on pump with some few other tricks, and see what I do..... To be continued.

Charles I have to agree about having a well rounded car but to think you will road race with a 76 on there is kinda laughable.....If you want to road race and don't care about having the fastest why not run a 63 or something in that area ?.........To say you don't care about being number one or having the most hp can't be true or you wouldn't have done all you've done and made the power you've made...I definitely agree that one thing shouldn't solely be focused on....

This year should be exciting....10's will be tough........

So far...Eventually someone will do a glide/th350/th400.....The 6-Speed for now is the best for all around speed (i.e. drag, road race etc etc)..Although if you can, I think the TH400 plus a GV O/D is a good compromise....Top end plus Drag racing specialty....

Until a person steps up and installs a cage, 10's will not happen too soon. The odds are very slim that a person can shoot off a 10-something on their 1st run. If they get close (11.49 or better) they will get kicked off the track. They might get 1 run per night at the track. That might take a while...

Someone just needs to make it count the first run then be kicked out knowing they broke into 10's. Not trying to make it seem like it's easy, but it's well within reach.

Well, actually Dan as I stated previously, there will be some lag, but it's feasable to run a road course and have some fun with my PT76. As for a smaller turbo (ex. PT67 or GT35r DBB), it would not be a big deal for me to have a 2nd set of turbo. My turbo is mounted on top so changing it out is easy, and a 2nd program for the smaller turbo just need to be loaded to the E11 v2 along with my SBDic settings. I know it won't be any fun with a Th400, even with OD. If I wanted to just go straight, I would have stayed with my notchback LX 5.0 Mustang. Just my opinion.

As for 10's, due to peeps getting kicked out for no roll cages, I'm sure there are several IS300s who's shooting for 10's having cages installed as we speak... Good luck to everyone, and most of all enjoy and be safe.
